Our committees
The ACFR Board of Directors is composed of three committees: the Executive & Governance Committee; the Program, Finance, Fundraising Committee; and the International Relations, Media & Partnership Committee.
Executive & Governance Committee
The Executive & Governance is a governing body composed of senior and outstanding leaders and executives within ACFR. It serves as an exceptional decision-making and oversight body responsible for shaping ACFR’s strategic direction and operations.
Program, Finance, and Fundraising Committee
The ACFR Program, Finance, and Fundraising Committee monitors and reviews the various programs run by the African Council on Foreign Relations, recommending new programs and programming policies to the Board of Directors as appropriate.
The Committee is also tasked with two additional responsibilities. First, the Committee is responsible for providing financial analysis, advice, and oversight of the organization’s finances and budget. The committee fundraises to ensure that the organization operates with the financial resources required to provide its programs and services. Second, it advises the ACFR Board and Executive Leadership on potential fundraising initiatives to support the organization’s work.
International Relations, Media and Partnership Committee
The ACFR International Relations, Media, and Partnership Committee’s mission is to help the organization develop effective institutional relations, strong partnerships, and rich engagement with international institutions, corporations, and media organizations worldwide.
