Founded in 2023, the Global Africa Center is the fruit of a partnership between the African Council on Foreign Relations and the Economic Club of Virginia. The Global Africa Center researches and publishes effective economic development policies, geopolitical analysis, and solutions to help African governments and businesses solve their most pressing economic development and political issues, applying the wonderful experience of its experts and fellows globally. The Global Africa Center regularly hosts private sector, public sector, business, and non-governmental leaders to discuss ways to solve pressing economic and political challenges facing the continent in the 21st century.
The Global Africa Center builds on the mission of the African Council on Foreign Relations Global Africa Center is seen ‘’as a vital work in progress that will undoubtedly contribute to shaping Africa’s role in global affairs over the coming centuries’’, says Charles Kodjo Vandyck at the Launch of the organization in October 2023.
The mission of the Center is guided by an outstanding global leadership team that Founding President and Chairman Jean Narcisse Djaha, Governance and Executive Committee Chair Dr. Toby Malichi, Hon. D. Bus. D.H.L, Healthcare Sector Pundit Prof. Chimezie Anyakora, to name a few.
